Whitesnake Canceled Remaining U.S. Tour Schedules


The legendary rockers announced a bad news for their fans as they stated that the remaining dates for their U.S. tour has been canceled. According to the band's official statement the cause of the cancellation is the illness that happened to their vocalist David Coverdale.

Bad news arrives from Whitesnake camp as the band is being forced to cancel all of the remaining dates for their current U.S. tour. According to the band's official site and also their guitarist, Doug Aldrich's official MySpace page, the reason for the cancellation is because of David Coverdale's illness that occurs on their latest concert at .

Revealing about the problem Dave is having, the band's official statement stated, "Unfortunately, last night at the Red Rocks Amphitheater, Denver, Whitesnake had to cut their performance short due to Mr Coverdale experiencing considerable pain in his vocal chords. He was immediately taken to a specialist for examination." Moreover, the site also said that, "The specialist discovered that David was suffering from severe vocal fold edema and a left vocal fold vascular lesion."

Because of the illness Dave's having, the band have to postpone all of the remaining shows, starting from their concert on August 13 at Nokia Live Theatre, Grand Praire TX. In total there will be 8 shows that the band canceled due to this problem, stating their apologize on the site the rockers also stated, "Whitesnake sincerely regrets any disappointment this may cause."

Meanwhile,Doug himself also reflect his disappointment about the cancellation of the band's shows by stating his apologize to his fans via his MySpace page. "Whitesnake has regretfully had to cancel the remaining shows. David visited a doctor and the specialist discovered that he was suffering from severe vocal fold edema and a left vocal fold vascular lesion. He has to cancel tours for 2 weeks & the undergo further examination. Sorry guys!" Doug wrote.
