Steve Vai to Premier Screening of "Where The Wild Things Are"


The guitar legend announced that he will be screening his new live DVD film "Where The Wild Things Are" to fans on September. The screening will be a special one as proceeds from the event will go to charity and on the premier, the attendants can see Steve and his band discussing the tour and all the behind the scenes stories as well.

Guitar maestro, Steve Vai is set to give a special gift to his fans as the ex-Whitesnake guitarist announced that he will do a special screening for his new Live DVD/CD Live In Minneapolis - Where The Wild Things Are. The screening is being made open to public and will be held at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood on September 15.

Moreover, the event itself is a special one as the proceeds of it will be given to Hollywood Arts for charity. Hollywood Arts itself is an arts academy that provides creative and commercial art instruction to homeless and at-risk youth in where Steve has been a member of the board since 2007.

Commenting on his involvement to help the Hollywood Arts through his upcoming screening Steve, stated his excitement and praise to the academy."I’m thrilled to be sponsoring this event in support of such a vital organizations as Hollywood Arts. I have personally seen how this institute has mended broken spirits and changed the quality of people’s lives while cultivating them to become valuable contributors in building a healthier society," Steve said.

Beside giving chances to the audiences to see his new Live DVD before it's official release date on September 29, on the screening Steve will also held a silent auction where the attendants can purchase special items from celebrities that has donate their stuffs. More updates about the items that will be available for auction will be posted on the guitar maestro's official site in the next coming days.

The tickets pricing for the show are divided into two categories, one for general admission (which cost $40) and for EVO Eperience (which cost $199). The Evo Experience itself is a special event held before the official screening which allowed fans to do an exclusive Q n A with Steve himself and making it more exclusive there will only be 100 tickets available for the EVO Experience. 4:00 p.m. - EVO Experience
6:00 p.m. - Red Carpet Arrivals
6:30 p.m. - Address by Steve Vai and Hollywood Arts
7:00 - 10:00 p.m. - Screening
10:30 p.m. - Silent auction closes
