The Guitar Generation San Diego Gig Videos Streamed

Just as it was scheduled the highly anticipated super guitar collaboration formed by Paul Gilbert, Richie Kotzen and George Lynch dubbed The Guitar Generation has finally kicked off their first show on February 25 at the House of Blues, San Diego. The show that started at 8.00 PM was the first out of the three performances that currently revealed, the other two shows will be held on February 28 at House of Blues, Sunset Strip, West Hollywood, CA and the final show is scheduled to be held on May 3, at House of Blues, Anaheim, CA.

On the concert that was being set just like the popular Joe Satrianie's G3 the guitar masters were each given a separate set to play their own stuff, with Richie being dubbed as the opener and Paul as the headline. After finishing their own set, the trio take the stage together and jamming like crazy, some of the songs that were played at the Jamm session were, Light My Fire, 30 Days in the Hole and others.

The news about the Guitar Generation was reportedly first tipped of by George during an interview with Bravewords.com on December 4, 2008. Here is what George said about the Guitar Generation, "I want to say that I will be going out on the Guitar Generation Tour in late February with Paul Gilbert and Richie Kotzen. It is kind of a G3 thing across the country for about six weeks. Paul Gilbert is the headliner and Richie Kotzen is opening up. Those guys are monsters. Richie is an amazing singer. So I have got my work cut out for me. We will definitely be in very part of the country."

Beside doing the GG tour, all guitarists actually have their own agenda this year, Richie has just finished hie European tour on February 20 in Zoe Club, Milan. Meanwhile George himself is currently finishing his band Lynch Mob's new album, while Paul has just finished invading Japan to do some concerts promoting his new album "United States" with Freddie Nelson and also promoting Mr. Big reunion concert with the other original members Billy Sheehan, Pat Torpey and Eric Martin.
