George Lynch at Tone Merchant NAMM 2009

Stepping aside from his busy music project, Metal guitar hero, George Lynch took the time to promote and perform at this year's NAMM 2009. George had a pretty packed schedule at the annual music merchant fest as he appear at some music booth from day 1 until the last date.

Among those hectic schedule, one of the most awaited appearance from George was his performance at the Tone Merchant on January 17. On that day, the guitar master played exclusively accompanied by his band, called Rokken, which is a tribute to his old band Dokken. The tribute rockers that George brought consist of, Dennis "Dino" Morales (vocals), Rob Hernandez (bass), KJ Hunter (drums) and his old time friend/guitar tech Jerry Ganaden (guitar).

Beside performing at NAMM, George is also preparing himself to play with two great guitar players Paul Gilbert and Richie Kotzen on a new music project dubbed the Guitar Generation. The project will kick start at the House of Blues in San Diego on February 25. The concept of Guitar Generation is pretty much the same with G3, where three guitarists will each have a solo set performance before closing the show with a jamm session.
